Premium Wagyu Beef

Wagyu beef, or in direct translation “Japanese Cow”, refers to a few breeds of cattle from Japan, some of which are genetically predisposed to intense marbling. Here at RockHouse farm we have spent the last 5 years selecting only the finest Wagyu cattle in an effort to produce the most delicious and well marbled beef in the Southern Appalachians. We raise 100% Grass Fed and Finished Wagyu as well as a “Kobe-Style”. Our Kobe Style steers are finished on pasture with a grain supplement (<1/3 of daily animal intake) consisting of organic and gmo-free grains that we custom mix on our farm. Call us today for what type of beef is currently in stock and treat yourself to something special.

Heritage Breed Pork

We raise Berkshire, Large Black, and Old Spots, all English Heritage Breeds. Though heritage breeds grow a little slower than conventional hog breeds of today, their delicious and well marbled meat is surly worth the wait. All of our pigs are raised on-farm, in the forest and on pasture, where they spend time with their mothers until weaned. We custom grind and mix our own pig ration on farm with organic and gmo-free grains including organic flax-meal. This means Rock House Farm pork is naturally high in omega-3 fatty acids and other beneficial unsaturated fats. Tasty and nutritious.

French Heritage Lamb

Known for their rich and delicious meat as well as wool, the Ill de France sheep is a breed originating in the 1830’s from the Ill de France region of France. All of our lambs are born on-farm and raised on forage (grass, legumes, and native forbs) for the duration of their life. We maintain a small flock of twenty ewes so our lamb is seasonal and highly coveted. It  is only available in our Morganton store. Call today to see what’s in stock, we know you won’t be disappointed.
